It is consecrated to San Gabriele dell'Addolorata (Saint Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin) and it guards the saint sepulchre. Near Isola Del Gran Sasso there is L'Aquila, the Abruzzo chief town. It has the Basilica of Collemaggio and Basilica of San Bernardino, the famous fountain of “99 cannelle” (99 cinnamons) and good restaurants, so, will be well to grant a good dinner. Then accommodation in hotel in Pescara. 2nd DAY PESCARA - SULMONA: EREMI Near Sulmona there is Sant'Onofrio Eremo, the first shelter of Pietro Angeleri, elect Pope in 1294 as Celestino V. We head towards Roccamorice where there are San Bartolomeo and San Giovanni Eremi. After lunch, we move in Caramanico Terme, a small thermal town, to have supper and taste typical dishes. Return in hotel in the evening. 3rd DAY PESCARA AND ITS AROUND Pescara is a modern city, situated on the coast, and it is the biggest city agglomerate of Abruzzo. It has a modern airport, a tourist port, a new railway station built with modern technique. In Pescara centre there are: “La Nave” a Cascella art work and the most famous ways are Corso Umberto I and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II for their shops, while in Pescara Vecchia there is Corso Manthonè known for pubs, American bar, discos and restaurants where we have dinner. After you need a relaxing walk in Corso Manthonè so then you can go to sleep. 4 DAY LET'S RELAX! We move in Montesilvano, a small sea town near Pescara. It is young and beatiful thanks to the coast and the “Grandi Alberghi” area on the beach where we have our last lunch. Near this tourist area rises an entertainment center called Warner Village where you can have a beatiful walk.
