London Eye is the name of the monumental wheel which stands on the south bank of the Thames, one of the most representative symbols of modern London, and one of the most visited attractions of the capital.
it is the tallest panoramic wheel in the world. The London Eye is made up of 32 capsules supported by a robust rotating on a central pivot.
Seven architects and a large number of engineers have been involved in the design of the wheel. The construction of the various parts of the structure took place in the Netherlands, the pieces were then flown to London, up to the south bank of the Thames, where the wheel was then mounted. The London Eye was officially inaugurated in 1999 by then Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The tower of Big Ben is the monumental tower next to the Palace of Westminster and is one of the most representative symbols of London and the UK. The tower is universally known as "Big Ben", but this isn't the name of the tower but this is simply the name of the bell, the real name of the building is in fact "Clock Tower".
On top of the tower stands out the presence of a large clock with four dials (one for each side of the tower), known as the Great Clock of Westminster. the tower of Big Ben is not the only tower next to the Palace of Westminster: among other towers is necessary to mention the Victoria Tower, in which is preserved the archive of all laws passed by the British Parliament since 1497, and the Central Tower, which stands in the middle of the building and is characterized by the presence of an octagonal spire.
