Present perfect e Present perfect continuous

PRESENT PERFECT E PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS

Present perfect:
- quando l'attenzione di chi parla è concentrata sul risultato dell'azione.

I' ve sent that postcard to Will and now I want to know where he is.
- nelle domande con how much/many/often? How many sweet have you eaten?
- con i verbi di stato you' ve known...

Present perfect continuous:
- quando l' attenzione è concentrata sull'azione medesima. I've been writing that postcard to Mark and it' s taken three hours.
- Nelle domande con How long? E nelle frasi con since e for.

How long have you been writing that book?
- Con alcuni verbi (work, live, learn) le due forme verbali sono utilizzabili indifferentemente l'azione espressa con il present perfect continuous può essere appena conclusa oppure no. È il contesto a chiarirlo.

PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS: USO

Descrive eventi passati che hanno una connessione con il presente.La forma progressiva del present perfect  sottolinea che l'azione è continua. I' ve been watching tv lately. Inoltre si usa:
- per situazioni temporanee. The football players have been staying in a hotel for nearly a week.
- per situazioni ripetute frequentemente. I' ve been inviting  her for months but she doesn' t want to stay with me.
- con espressioni di tempo come all day, all morning, for ages, lately, recently, for a long time per sottolineare la durata e/o la continuità dell'azione. It has been snowing all morning.

PRESENT PERFECT: USO

Il Present perfect è un tempo presente. Si usa:
- per parlare di azioni già compiute. I've finished my trip now.
- per indicare quante volte è successo un determinato evento. I' ve been to Brazil once.
- per specificare da quanto tempo si protrae una situazione  si utilizzano prevalentemente i verbi live, know, think.
