Baseball
Baseball is a team game derived from the English game of cricket.
It is played with a bat and ball, by two teams of nine players each, on a field with four bases.
Baseball is the national game in the USA and it is very popular in Canada too. The most modern and impressive Baseball stadium is Toronto’s SkyDome.
American Football
American Football derives from the English game of rugby. It started at Harvard University in the 1870s.
It is a game for two teams of eleven players men on the field. At the ends of the field are gaol posts. The object of the game is to have the control of the ball and to score points by carrying it across the goal-line.
Football is a game of violent physical contact, that’s why footballers must be big, strong men.
Hockey
Hockey is a very popular winter game both in the USA and in Canada.

Soccer
Association Football is better known in the USA as soccer. Soccer is not as popular in the USA as it is in all the rest of the world, but interest in this sport is growing more and more.
