The USA

The USA is a federation of 50 states: 48 is on the mainland, the other two are Alaska wich lies northwest of Canada and Hawaii wich lies in the pacific ocean. The USA is wet to the south by the Mexico gulf ,to the east by t  Atlantic ocean  and to the west by the pacific ocean. The landscape is varied: there are desert, mountains, plains, and forest. The main mountain ranges are: THE PACIFIC RANGE, THE ROCKY MOUNTIN, AND THE APPACHIAN MOUNTAIN. The central part of the country is a big plains crossed by two longest rivers: the MISSISSIPPI  and the MISSOURI. The USA is rich in lakes , the largest are situated along the Canadian border and they called “the great lakes”.

The most famous are: MICHIGAN, SUPERIOS, ONTARIO,HURON AND ETC. There are different kinds of climate:  an arctic climate in Alaska and the tropical climate in Florida. The USA is often called the melting pot of the world  infect there are a lot of human races. The American flag has thirteen stripes and fifty stars: the thirteen stripes represent the thirteen original colonies while the fifty stars represent the actual federation of states.

There are a lot of religions: the population is divided in PROTESTANTS, ROMAN CATHOLICS, JEWS and  other religions.
